In 2024, the company entered an exciting new chapter when longtime industry leader Mark Balderrama acquired Plastek Manufacturing. Having spent nearly three decades with the organization, Balderrama’s transition to ownership ensured continuity of leadership while positioning the company for future growth.

Following the transition, Plastek invested in new injection molding equipment, advanced manufacturing technologies, and data-driven production systems designed to improve efficiency, quality, and responsiveness. These investments were highlighted in a December 2024 Plastics News feature that recognized the company’s commitment to growth and modernization.

Today, Plastek combines more than three decades of manufacturing experience with forward-looking investments in technology, quality systems, and customer partnerships—allowing us to support everything from prototype development to high-volume production across aerospace, medical, defense, electronics, and industrial markets.
